My recommendation is to stay away from "Windows 7 Basic" theme If you switch to "Windows 7 AERO" theme, shadowplay will work fine.

NVIDIA, the NVIDIA logo, GeForce, GeForce RTX, GeForce MAX-Q, GRID, SHIELD, Battery Boost, CUDA, FXAA, GameStream, G-Sync, NVLINK, ShadowPlay, SLI, TXAA, PhysX. I felt that at least the first level of support would have been helpful for "Known Issues". It turns out it was a simple solution to a complex problem that few people like myself who like to tweak their volume.
